College wrap IV: Bent, Hofmann, Johnson, Sabrowski, Willow

C Evan Willow (Victoria, BC) of the McPherson Bulldogs and RHP Nathan Arruda (Toronto, Ont.) of the Tabor BlueJays earned KCAC Player and Pitcher of the Week. Willow, former Victoria Eagle, was 6-for-8 with two home runs and nine RBIs as the Bulldogs swept a doubleheader at Oklahoma Panhandle State. Arruda, s former Ontario Blue Jay, pitched seven scoreless in a 2-0 win over Colorado Christian striking out nine.

We follow 688 Canadian players listed on the rosters of 325 schools affiliated with CCCAA, NAIA, NCAA, NJCAA, NWAC and USCAA.

During this period, 137 schools with Canadians were scheduled to play 491 games. We found games stats for 199 Canadian players in the 404 boxscores that were available at the time of this report.

From the mound, 63 Canadian pitchers from 45 schools made 68 appearances, 20 were starts. As a group, they worked 165 innings, striking out 205, earning 13 wins and five saves. 

At the plate, 144 Canadian batters from 82 schools had 961 at bats with 273 hits and 17 home runs, producing 183 RBIs.
