The Cardinals opened up their week at Greg Cranker Field with a tilt against the Brampton Royals on Monday. Erindale made quick work of Brampton with a 13-3 win in seven innings. RHP John DeWolfe started and was excellent throwing six innings allowing two runs -- both unearned -- on four hits. He struck out four batters and walked no one in collecting the win. Kevin Lucas threw his first inning of the year giving up an earned run on one hit in relief. Chris Novia, who collected player of the week honors, led the Cards at the plate going 4-for-4 with two home runs. He also collected three RBIs and scored four times.
