The Blue Jays’ clubs were 4-4 on Tuesday, matching their Monday record but the Buffalo Bisons’s hot streak has stretched even further thanks to Drew Hutchison.

Buffalo Bisons 6, Indianapolis Indians 0
The Bisons are going streaking, extending their winning streak to eight games with a 6-0 shutout of the Louisville Bats. Drew Hutchison continues to make his case for a start or two at the big league level after throwing six innings of one-hit, two walk ball at the Bats, striking out five. Both rehabbing lefties made appearances for the Bisons with Franklin Morales giving up a hit in his inning and Brett Cecil facing three batters. Chad Girodo also faced the minimum in his inning, finishing the game.

The offense was in fine form, scoring six times on 11 hits and five walks. Jesus Montero led the assault with a double and a home run, scoring twice. Andy Burns also contributed heavily, going 2/4 with a double, a walk and three RBI. Domonic Brown (2/5, 2B, RBI) and Melky Mesa (2/3, 2B, 2 R) also had two hits each.

Player of the Game: Drew Hutchison and Andy Burns

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 4, Hartford Yard Goats 6
The Fisher Cats doubled their offensive output from their previous game but it still wasn’t enough to eclipse the Hartford Yard Goats who scored six runs on Tuesday. Shane Dawson had a solid start, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits and now walks over six innings with four strikeouts. Brady Dragmire was strong, not allowing any runners of his own or allowing the runner he inherited from Dawson to score in an inning. Tim Mayza allowed two unearned runs in 2/3 of an inning while Chris Smith stranded a runner but allowed an unearned run of his own in 1 1/3 innings.

The hitting couldn’t overcome the defensive miscues as the Fisher Cats committed four errors including one by Jason Leblebijian, one by Christian Lopes, and one each by Shane Dawson and Tim Mayza. Jorge Flores and Jason Leblebijian each had two hits while Roemon Fields hit his second home run of the year, going 1/3 with a walk.

Player of the Game: Shane Dawson and Roemon Fields

Dunedin Blue Jays 10, Lakeland Flying Tigers 7
Just a day after a pitchers’ duel resulted in a 2-1 score, the Blue Jays and Flying Tigers combined for 17 runs on 18 hits including seven home runs, but the Blue Jays finished with four unanswered runs in the top of the ninth to complete the sweep. Sean Reid-Foley actually left the game with a lead, throwing six innings of two-run ball, allowing a home run (among five hits) and three walks, striking out eight. Conor Fisk pitched to three batters in the seventh inning, allowing all three to reach (on two hits and a walk), giving up one run on a solo home run before Jose Fernandez took over, giving up three runs on a hit (a home run) and two walks with two strikeouts over 1 1/3 innings. Alonzo Gonzalez blew the save, giving up a run on a home run but also got the win finishing the game with 1 2/3 innings.

Jonathan Davis hit his club-leading 11th home run, going 2/3 with a walk, an RBI and two runs (and was caught stealing). Michael De La Cruz drove in three runs with two hits (including a triple) and a walk while Mike Reeves was 2/3 with a double, a walk, a stolen base, and two runs. Anthony Alford hit his second home run of the year, going 1/3 with the dinger, a walk, two RBI and two runs. Gunnar Heidt also hit a home run, going 1/4 with a walk and two runs.

Player of the Game: Jonathan Davis and Sean Reid-Foley

Lansing Lugnuts 4, Great Lakes Loons 1
The Lugnuts got another great pitching performance from Ryan Borucki while Connor Panas hit yet another home run to fuel the Lugnuts to a 4-1 win over the Great Lakes Loons. Borucki went seven innings, giving up just four hits with six strikeouts while Tom Robson pitched two innings for the save, allowing a run on two hits and a walk with a strikeout.

Panas was 1/4 with his eighth home run of the year and two RBI, giving him eight homers and a tie with Juan Kelly for the club lead in dingers. Max Pentecost was 1/3 with two runs and Andrew Guillotte hit a double.

Player of the Game: Ryan Borucki

Vancouver Canadians 1, Tri-City Dust Devils 2
The Canadians’ bats were held to just six hits but the Dust Devils needed just five to score enough to defeat them on Tuesday. Dalton Rodriguez had a strong start, allowing two runs on five hits over seven innings but took the loss despite not walking anyone and striking out three. Griffin Glaude finished the game, striking out two of the three batters he faced in the eighth inning.

Cavan Biggio led the offense with three of the club’s six hits, while Bryan Lizardo was 2/4 with a double and the only RBI.

Player of the Game: Dalton Rodriguez and Cavan Biggio

Bluefield Blue Jays 0, Burlington Royals 4
Bluefield’s offense went silent in a 4-0 loss to the Burlington Royals and all six hits came from the bottom five hitters in the order. Levi Scott (1/4), Juandy Mendoza (1/4, 2B), Matt Morgan (1/4, 2B), Nick Sinay (2/4) and Andrew Florides (1/4) got at least a hit.

Hansel Rodriguez struggled for the Blue Jays, allowing four runs on eight hits and a walk with two strikeouts in just 4 2/3 innings. Christian Cox stranded two of Rodriguez’s runners with 2 1/3 excellent innings, allowing just a hit and striking out two before Mike Estevez finished the game with an almost clean ninth (hitting a batter).

Player of the Game: Christian Cox and Nick Sinay

Roster Notes: Kalik May was promoted to Bluefield from the GCL.

GCL Blue Jays 9, GCL Yankees West 5

He pitched to four batters and was eventually charged with three runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings. Jairo Rosario allowed two of the three runners he inherited from McKown to score despite not being charged with any runs of his own over one inning.

Player of the Game: Francisco Rodriguez and Freddy Rodriguez

Roster Notes: Kalik may was promoted to the Bluefield Blue Jays

DSL Blue Jays 1, DSL D-backs 2
With good pitching on base sides of the diamond, the Blue Jays couldn’t make the most of their four hits to score more than one run against the DSL D-backs in a 2-1 loss. Randy Pondler started, throwing five innings of one-run ball, giving up four hits and a walk. Ruben Ventura gave up the other run, throwing four innings and allowing five hits with two strikeouts.
