11 Canucks earn pre-season NCAA honors

A total of 11 Canucks earned Pre-Season NCAA All-Conference honors from Perfect Game Scouting Service.

RHP Cal Quantrill (Port Hope, Ont.) of the Stanford Cardinal scored a double earning Pac-12 pre-season honors from PG, as well as Third Team All-America honors from Baseball America. Quantrill is a former Ontario Terrier who pitched for coach Scott Van de Valk.

The other 10 honored by PG are ...

INF Daniel Pinero (Toronto, Ont.), former Ontario Blue Jays slugger, who played for coach Danny Bleiwas, of the Virginia Cavilers earned ACC honors.

INF Cole Peragine (Belle Ewart, Ont.) former Ontario Terriers of the Stony Brook Sea Wolves in the America East Conference. He was with Van de Valk and the Ontario Terriers.

OF Cole Bauml (Fort Saskatchewan, Sask.) of the Northern Kentucky Norse earned Atlantic Sun conference honors. Bauml played for Team Saskatchewan, coached by Greg Brons and Roger Anholt, as well as the Saskatoon Giants coached by Ron Bauml and Mark Dolan.

2B-RHP Michael Foster (Pickering, Ont.) earned Colonial Conference honors with the Northeastern Huskies. Foster played for Bleiwas and the Ontario Blue Jays.

3B Connor Panas (Toronto, Ont.) and OF Brett Siddall (Windsor, Ont.) both gained Metro Atlantic honors with the Canisius Griffs. Panas played for the Toronto Mets and coach Ryan McBride, while Siddall played for the Windsor Selects and coaches Chris Soulliere and Joe Siddall.

C Chris Robinson (Uxbridge, Ont.) Morehead State Eagles earned Ohio Valley honors. He played for Team Ontario and coach Murray Marshall.

RP J.D. Moore (Mississauga, Ont.) of the South Dakota Jackrabbits took Summit League pre-season honors. Moore used to pitch for Bleiwas and the Ontario Blue Jays.

3B Mattingly Romanin (Burlington, Ont.) of the Chicago State Cougars earned all-WAC honors. Romanin is another former Terrier, who played for Van De Valk.

1B Brendan Hendriks (Cochrane, Alta.) of the San Francisco Diamond Dons was the best in the West Coast. Hendriks is a former Vauxhall Academy Jet under coach Les McTavish.
