GCL Blue Jays 3, GCL Braves 1
What a difference a day makes. The GCL Blue Jays, just a day after getting hammered by the Braves, stifled their offense, surrendering just one run on five hits. Jose Espada went the first three innings and continued to impress, allowing one earned run on no hits and two walks with four strikeouts, raising his ERA to 0.75. Juan Meza lowered his ERA to 10.80, throwing two innings but walked four batters and gave up a hit despite not allowing a run. He struck out three. Gunner Eastman went two scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk with a strikeout and Mike Estevez threw two scoreless innings to finish the game and earn his third save, striking out three and not walking anyone.
Kalik May went 3/3 with a walk, raising his batting average to .375 while Ryan Hissey was 1/3 with a double. Canadian catcher Owen Spiwak was 2/3 with a run and Miguel Almonte picked up an RBI, going 1/3.

The Blue Jays pushed their record to a very hearty 24-15 thanks to a 9-4 drubbing of the Orioles1 club. With 10 hits and nine walks as a club, the Blue Jays tallied nine runs, getting big games from catcher Manuel Herazo (2/3, 2 BB, 2 R, SB), Kevin Vicuna (2/5, R, RBI, E), Cristian Peguero (2/3, RBI) and Antony Fuentes (1/2, BB, 2 RBI, R, SF). Enmanuel Moreta also scored once after a double and drove in a run with a sac fly.
Guadalupe Chavez had a strong start, going five innings and allowing two runs on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts. Joel Espinal allowed another two runs (one earned) in four innings, giving up five hits and two walks with two strikeouts to finish the game and earn his first save.
