Iannick Remillard was the man the Canisius College Griffins counted on in the late innings.

And coach Mike McRae (Niagara Falls, Ont.) will do the same again this spring ... but come June.

Well, come June don’t be surprised if another team decides to count on Remillard too.

Remillard was the top rated Canadian senior eligible for the 2016 draft according to Perfect Game USA. He’s rated 38th on the PG top 100 list.

Remillard (Valleyfield, Que.) saved 10 games in 2015 for Canisius. He was 1-4 with a 4.11 ERA in 20 games walking 12 and striking out 41 in 35 innings.

He earned 2015 Canadian Baseball Network All-Canadian College Team Honourable Mention honors.

RHP Alex Webb (Surrey, BC) of the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds, was ranked 54th entering this season.

Webb went 10-3 with a 2.15 ERA in 15 games making 13 starts for UBC. He walked 22 and fanned 97 in 88 innings.

He was selected to the Canadian Baseball Network All-Canadian College First Team in 2015.
