The Fisher Cats won their second game in a row coming from behind, scoring in the top of the 10th inning to win on Monday. Starter Luis Santos had the Fisher Cats in a 3-1 hole after he finished his five innings, giving up three earned runs on six hits and three walks. Daniel Schlereth was charged with another two runs (one earned) in his one-plus innings but one of those runs came after Murphy Smith wasn’t able to strand him with no one out in the seventh. Smith gave up another run (unearned) on three hits and a walk but struck out four in two innings before John Stilson picked up the win, throwing two innings of hitless ball, walking two and striking out two.
Roemon Fields made a big contribution, going 3/5 with a run while Dwight Smith (2/5, 2 RBI, SB) and Wilkin Castillo (2/4, 2B, R) had two hits apiece. The big blow was dealt by K.C. Hobson whose home run in the 10th inning provided the margin of victory.
Player of the Game: Roemon Fields
Roster Notes: Colt Hynes returned to New Hampshire from Buffalo.
