COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference released its All-Conference teams, individual award winners, and gold glove recipients for the 2024 baseball season on Wednesday.
Representing Lindsey Wilson was First-Team All-Mid-South pitcher Cohen Achen and gold glove catcher Jonathan Barham.
Achen, a senior from Calgary, Alta., earns an All-Conference distinction for the fourth time in his career. He finds himself on the First Team for the third consecutive year after collecting Second-Team status in 2021. Achen finished the regular season 5-5 and ranked third in the conference for total strikeouts with 94. He retired 10 or more on strikes twice in Mid-South play, including a dozen at then-fourth-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) on March 29 to become Lindsey Wilson's all-time leader for career strikeouts. In total, the two-time Mid-South Pitcher of the Week went 2-3 against league opponents, firing one complete game.
Barham, a junior from Hanahan, S.C., becomes the program's 14th gold glover and first since Derek Zavala in 2021. Barham boasted a perfect fielding percentage in conference play, recording 132 putouts, 11 assists, and zero errors. He also caught six runners stealing. At the plate, Barham batted .259 during the regular season with 29 hits, six doubles, and a team-leading eight home runs.
