The Terriers wrapped up the month of June with several impressive performances across all levels.
Let’s see who stood out the most from June 24 to 30.
17U – OF Bryce Cross
Bryce Cross made an impact in all three games the 17U’s played. He hit a three-run home run, walked three times and was hit by a pitch.
16U – RHP Ben Chmielowiec
Right-hander Ben Chmielowiec was brilliant on the mound for the 16U team. He tossed six innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits in a 2-1 loss to the Coastal Marlins. He struck out nine in the outing.
15U – LHP/OF Brett Crowley
Brett Crowley’s best performance came on the mound when he threw seven scoreless innings in a 3-2 loss to Team Ontario in Game 2 of a doubleheader. The southpaw surrendered three hits and struck out 12. In Game 1, he chipped in a hit. Earlier in the week, he was hit by a pitch against the Ontario Royals.
14U – INF Daniel Colangelo
Daniel Colangelo had arguably the best week at the plate of any Terriers player. In four games, Colangelo contributed seven hits, six RBIs and three stolen bases. He had three multi-hit games and legged out four doubles.
14U Minor – RHP/OF Hudson Patterson
Hudson Patterson wasted no time helping the 15U’s. He went 2-for-2 with a walk and two stolen bases in a Game 1 win over the Selects. If that wasn’t enough, he also threw five scoreless innings, giving up two hits, two walks and striking out seven in picking up the win. The final three games of the series saw Patterson collect two hits, steal a base and be hit by a pitch.
