Believe it or not, there are college seasons that came to an end this past weekend.
And as the postseason approaches, Canadians are looking to be key players on their teams.
Let’s check out the best performers from April 14 to 20.
Hull becomes UMary Marauders’ RBI record holder
Noah Hull (Scarborough, Ont.) had six hits and drove in five over five games for the University of Mary. Two of the RBIs came on a two-run home run in a win against Minot State. He now has 143 RBIs in his career, which is the all-time program record.
Grant joins 200-hit club
Logan Grant (Chestermere, Alta.) has joined No. 24 Bellevue University’s 200-hit club. Last week, he stroked six hits, walked four times and drove in five. One of his hits was a grand slam as the Bruins beat Dakota State 12-2.
Gravel, Makarus other Bruin contributors
Grant wasn’t the only Bellevue Bruin to have a good week, as Nick Gravel (Halifax, N.S.) and Ayden Makarus (Okotoks, Alta.) chipped in offensively.
Gravel had five hits, including a solo home run, and two RBIs.
Makarus hit three home runs, a two-run and two solo shots. He closed the week out with seven hits in all, while also walking five times, driving in four and stealing a base.
Lawson hits .412, earns SEC Freshman of the Week
Infielder Brendan Lawson (Toronto, Ont.) was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. Lawson hit .412 with two doubles and five RBIs over four games for the University of Florida.
Pettipiece, Sillett good for Goshen
Goshen College received stellar play on the mound and in the batter’s box from two Canadians.
Eric Pettipiece (Dorchester, Ont.) tossed a seven-inning complete game in a 1-0 Game 4 loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene. He allowed the one run on three hits and five walks.
Trent Sillett (London, Ont.) had seven hits, a walk, seven RBIs and was hit by three pitches in five games.

Three Canadian Eagles fly high
Much of the offence produced by the Morehead State Eagles this past week was powered by three Canadians.
JJ Dutton (Toronto, Ont.) had 11 hits, walked twice and drove in four. He had a five-hit game to open the week in a win over Austin-Peay and closed the slate with a four-hit game. He also hit a solo shot in a Game 2 loss to the University of Tennessee at Martin in between.
Davis Germann (Kitchener, Ont.) collected eight hits, walked four times, drove in five, stole a base and was hit by a pitch over the course of four games. He hit a two-run home run in a Game 1 win over UT Martin.
Alex Kean (Woodstock, Ont.) had five hits, two walks and four RBIs.
Barr pitches well
Right-hander Kurt Barr (Saint Joachim, Ont.) allowed three runs (one earned) on six hits over seven innings of work in Michigan's 3-2 Game 2 loss to Iowa. He struck out eight.
Pinkney pounds out five hits
Hugh Pinkney (Toronto, Ont.) punched five hits and drove in five during Tulane’s three-game set against the University of Texas at San Antonio, a series the Green Wave lost 2-1. He hit a solo home run in a Game 1 loss.
Grinberg goes deep, has five hits
It was a showdown of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic (NAIA) top 25 teams as No. 25 Keiser University squared off against No. 8 Southeastern University.
Simon Grinberg (Kitchener, Ont.) had five hits, a walk and three RBIs for the Seahawks in the four-game series. He hit a two-run home run in an 11-10 Game 4 loss but it was the Fire who came away with a 3-1 series victory.
Shapiro swats pair of home runs in win
Caden Shapiro (Toronto, Ont.) hit a two-run home run and a solo shot to lead Princeton to a 20-8 midweek win over Rider. The former Toronto Met had seven hits, five walks and six RBIs across four games.
Clarkson throws eight innings
Kaelan Clarkson (Minesing, Ont.) tossed eight innings and allowed two runs on six hits in Game 2 of Plattsburgh State’s series against Oswego State. He walked three and struck out six but the OSU Lakers plated one in the top of the ninth to score a 3-2 win.

Evans, McLeod come up big for Cloud County
Cloud County Community College took three of four from Butler Community College and Matt Evans (Tillsonburg, Ont.) and Cam McLeod (Vancouver, BC) had a lot to do with it.
Evans produced nine hits, five RBIs and two stolen bases. He hit a home run in games 1 and 2.
McLeod, meanwhile, collected six hits, drove in five and was hit by three pitches. He swatted three home runs in Game 2.
Adair delivers for Bismarck State
Rydell Adair (Swift Current, Sask.) makes another appearance in this weekly column after collecting seven hits, three walks and six RBIs. He had a pair of three-hit games and also homered in a Game 1 win over Dakota College at Bottineau.
McHarg homers twice
Payton McHarg (Saskatoon, Sask.) hit three-run and two-run home runs in Washburn University’s 2-1 series loss to No. 19 Pittsburgh State. He had seven hits, three walks and six RBIs in his team’s four-games.
Del Rosario, Pacholko deal for Douglas
Right-hander Noah Del Rosario (Delta, BC) threw seven innings and surrendered an unearned run on two hits in a game Douglas College would eventually lose 14-3 to Edmonds. He walked three and struck out five in the midweek loss.
Del Rosario was back on the mound in Game 4 of the Royals’ series against Everett and tossed eight innings, allowing a run on five hits with five strikeouts in a 1-0 loss.
Jeffrey Pacholko (Burnaby, BC) started Game 3 against Everett and lasted seven innings. He yielded a run on seven hits and struck out five. The Royals dropped the game 1-0.

Sadleir picks up win for Dodge City
Wyatt Sadleir (Calgary, Alta.) spun six innings and gave up an unearned run on a hit and three walks as Dodge City defeated the Bethany College JV’s 6-2. The right-hander punched out two.
Somerville closes out regular season with .867 OPS
In the final week of the regular season for Oklahoma Panhandle State, Jackson Somerville (Burlington, Ont.) had three hits, five RBIs and was hit by a pitch. Two of his three hits came by way of a two-run and a three-run home run. He finished the season hitting .263 with three home runs and an .867 OPS in 38 games.
Boucher belts grand slam
Alec Boucher (Harrow, Ont.) hit a grand slam and finished with three hits, five RBIs and was hit by a pitch as D’Youville downed Queens College 20-12. In the three games that followed, he had three hits, three RBIs and a stolen base.
Jackson leads Utes to win
Infielder Core Jackson (Wyoming, Ont.) went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run, five RBIs and a stolen base as the University of Utah defeated Baylor 13-1.
Lachance homers three times
Deiten Lachance (Sherbrooke, Que.) hit home runs No. 11, 12 and 13 for McLennan College. When the dust settled on the week, he had six hits, two walks and six RBIs.

Crowson reaches 15 home runs
The University of Montevallo may have lost their three-game series to Union University but Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) had a good showing at the plate. The former Okotoks Dawg had five hits, walked twice and drove in four. He hit his 15th home run of the season, a two-run shot, in Game 2.
Brooks hits walkoff home run
Noah Brooks (Cloverdale, BC) hit a walkoff solo home run to lead the University of Pikeville to a 6-5 victory in Game 1 of their series against Union Commonwealth University. During the five games on the week for the Bears, Brooks had five hits, four walks, three RBIs and was hit by a pitch.
List likes to hit
Jorden List (Toronto, Ont.) closed the week with seven hits, 10 walks and four RBIs as Erie Community College posted a 5-3 record.
Doane trio back at it
The three-headed attack that is Jordan Bond (Victoria, BC), Aaron Vulcano (Cloverdale, BC) and Johnny Vulcano (Cloverdale, BC) were productive yet again for Doane University.
In three games, Bond had six hits, walked once and drove in seven. He hit a two-run home run and solo shot in a 13-4 win over Northwestern.
Aaron Vulcano collected six hits, as well, to go along with three RBIs. All three of those RBI came from a three-run home run during a 10-2 victory over Northwestern.
Johnny Vulcano had five hits, a walk, two RBIs and a stolen base. Like his brother, both his RBI came on a two-run home run.

Dax does damage
Dax Wandler (Brooks, Alta.) went 4-for-4 with a solo home run to help Midland University to a 12-10 win over Mount Marty. He then had a hit in a 14-5 loss.
Franco, Marsh mash for Mineral Area
A pair of Canadian played well for the Mineral Area Cardinals.
Angelo Franco (Port Moody, BC) collected six hits and drove in five in three games. He homered to help his team to an 11-9 victory over Jefferson Community College.
Matt Marsh (Havelock, Ont.) went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs in a win over Three Rivers.
Busy week for Bateman, Rochester Christian
Lucas Bateman (Waterloo, Ont.) finished the week with seven hits, a walk and five RBIs for Rochester Christian. He hit a solo home run and a two-run homer in a loss and a win over Concordia (Mich.).
UBC wins three of four
The bats were out in full force for the University of British Columbia as they scored 60 runs en route to winning three of four against Eastern Oregon.
Kellen Bourne (Calgary, Alta.) had a huge Game 4, going 4-for-5 with a three-run home run, a solo shot, a walk and seven RBIs. He also went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in Game 1 and walked twice in Game 2.
Trent Lenihan (White Rock, BC) collected six hits, walked six times, drove in seven and was hit by three pitches. He homered twice, a two-run shot in Game 1 and a solo shot in Game 3.
Aaron Marsh (Nanaimo, BC) chipped in nine hits, walked once, drove in 10, stole a base and was hit by a pitch. He went 4-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI in Game 3.

Jonny McGill (Richmond, BC) contributed eight hits, four walks, six RBIs, three stolen bases and was hit by two pitches. He homered three times, a solo and two-run shot in Game 2 and another two-run homer in Game 4.
Mitchell Middlemiss (Chilliwack, BC) hit a two-run home run and a solo shot in Game 1 and finished the series with five hits, two walks and six RBIs.
Kyle Yip (Calgary, Alta.) had eight knocks, three walks, 11 RBIs and a stolen base. He swatted a three-run shot in Game 1 and a solo homer in Game 3.
Russell Young (Surrey, BC) amassed seven hits, three walks, an RBI and was hit by a pitch. His lone RBI came via a solo home run in Game 3.
Moore named Big Ten Freshman of the Week
Will Moore (Paris, Ont.) garnered Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week honours after collecting four hits, walking three times, driving in a pair, stealing a base and being hit by a pitch in Indiana’s 2-1 series win over Maryland. His RBI single in Game 1 secured a 7-6 walkoff win. He then went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two walks and an RBI as the Hoosiers took Game 3 by a 15-5 score.
Nicoll is Southern Arkansas’ new RBI king
Brandon Nicoll (Coombs, BC) drove in 11 runs in four games for Southern Arkansas to move his career total to 237, good for first in program history. Four of his seven hits were home runs, including a three-homer Game 1 against Southeastern Oklahoma State where he belted a solo shot, a grand slam and a two-run home run to finished with seven RBI. He homered again, a two-run shot, in Game 2 and hit a solo homer in Game 3.
Another week of the college baseball slate has come and gone.
