Official Okotoks Dawgs News Release
The Okotoks Dawgs were defeated 4-3 by the Regina Red Sox on Tuesday night.
The Dawgs opened the scoring in the second inning and failed to generate any more chances until the ninth inning when they scored three to cut the deficit to one run. That's as close as they would get as the Dawgs dropped their second game of the season.
Graham Seltzer (Vancouver, BC) recorded his first loss of the season allowing four earned in five innings.
Relief efforts from Connor Robbins, Quinn Tocheniuk (Okotoks, Alta.) and Ethan Steer kept the Dawgs in the game.
Alejandro Cazorla (Calgary, Alta.), Ricky Sanchez and Jacob Morrow were responsible for driving in the runs for the Dawgs. Noah Geekie (Strathclair, Man.) hit went 3-for-4 with two runs.
The Dawgs will face the Red Sox on Thursday night in Regina for the series finale, before heading out to Swift Current and Lethbridge. The Dawgs will return to Seaman Stadium for the annual “Father’s Day” Extravaganza on Sunday.
