The Okotoks Dawgs, in conjunction with the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL), are pleased to announce the following players have been named to the West roster for the WCBL All- Star Game.

Pitcher - Garrett Maloney (Campbellsville University)

Pitcher – Chase Tucker, St. Johns, Nfld. (University of Saint Rose)

Pitcher – Seth Thompson, Calgary, Alta. (North Dakota State University)

Infielder – Connor Crowson, Okotoks, Alta. (University of Montevallo)

Infielder – Brendan Luther, Mississauga, Ont. (Bellevue University)

Outfielder – Barry Eisman (University of Montevallo)

Outfielder – Tucker Zdunich, High River, Alta. (Reinhardt University)

Catcher – Logan Grant, Calgary, Alta. (Bellevue University)

In addition to the WCBL All-Star Game being held at Seaman Stadium, on Saturday, July 20, is a Home Run Derby which precedes the game itself. Home Run Derby participants will be named on Monday and will include 12 participants from across the WCBL looking to take home this year’s crown as the King of the WCBL Home Run Derby.

The WCBL All-Star Game promises to be the event of the summer. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. with the Home Run Derby beginning at 5 p.m. and the All-Star Game itself, starting at 7:05 p.m.. A full day of baseball action, also featuring autograph signings, fan favourite mascots, fun family activities for all ages and to cap off the day, a firework extravaganza.

Last year’s WCBL All-Star Game saw a sellout crowd of over 6,000 fans enter the gates at Seaman Stadium.
