Many went, most were seen and some were honoured.

A total of 15 Canadians were named to the Perfect Game World Wood Bat all-tournament team in Jupiter, Fla.

Teammates Noah Naylor (Mississauga, Ont.), TJ Schofield-Sam (Brampton, Ont.) and Jake Ervin (Mississauga, Ont.) of the Ontario Blue Jays were three of the five position players so honoured. Kayden Beauregard (Abbotsford BC) playing for Doug Mathieson and Jamie Bodaly hit .400. Jake Ervin (Mississauga, Ont.) of the Ontario Blue Jays was amongst the leaders in both doubles and RBIs.

And 10 pitchers earned spots on the all-tournament team, six who did not allow a run. Jacob Kush (Guelph, Ont.) of the Ontario Blue Jays tossed 5 2/3 innings. Evan Chenier (Georgetown, Ont.) of the Ontario Blue Jays 2018 worked five scoreless and Ben Abram (Georgetown, Ont.) of the Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team, on loan from the Ontario Terriers pitched four scoreless to lead the way.

Lukas Barry (Mississauga, Ont.) saw the most work pitching 8 2/3 innings allowing one run and fanning 10 for coach Mike Steed.
