The Hamilton Cardinals, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) are pleased to announce the signing of infielder Tyler Giancos.

Giancos (Bolton, Ont.) will be making his IBL debut this season after finishing up his junior career with the Newmarket Hawks. The 5-foot-10 infielder has the ability to play both the left and right side of the infield.

“This fall watching Tyler play for the Brock University Badgers, I saw a player who is ready to make the step up to the IBL. He has great plate discipline, uses all fields, and is not afraid to hit with two strikes. He is a gritty player and plays the game the right way. Hamilton fans will enjoy watching him play. He also supplies us with position flexibility” said Cardinals GM Jeff Lounsbury

The Hamilton Cardinals Baseball Club is a member of the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, established in 1919.
