Blue Jays from Away
The Blue Jays' affiliates went 3-2 on Thursday, getting wins from Lansing, Buffalo and Dunedin.
Buffalo Bisons 3, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (NYY) 2
After a day of being shut out twice over two halves of a doubleheader, the triple-A Buffalo Bisons rallied to score three runs in the sixth inning of their game against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders against former Bison and Blue Jay Drew Hutchison to come away with a 3-2 win.
Anthony Alford was 3/3 with two doubles and a walk, stealing a base but also getting picked off and caught stealing. Socrates Brito also hit a double, going 1/3 with an RBI and a run while Patrick Kivlehan was 1/3 with an RBI and a run. Richard Urena was 1/3 with an RBI and Reese McGuire was 1/3.
Graham Spraker made his triple-A debut, tossing 5 1/3 strong innings, giving up just a run on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Kirby Snead got the win, however, allowing a hit and a walk through 1 2/3, striking out two and stranding the runner he inherited from Spraker. Justin Shafer got the save, allowing a solo home run among two hits over two innings, striking out five.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5, Bowie Baysox (BAL) 7
The double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the Bowie Baysox but Bowie scored two in the top of the ninth that the Fisher Cats had no answer for in a 7-5 loss to Bowie.
Hector Perez gave up five runs on nine hits and four walks over five innings, striking out two before Vinny Nittoli came on to pitch two scoreless frames, giving up a hit and striking out one. Jackson McClelland took the loss, allowing two runs on four hits although only one was earned and the second came in when Bryan Baker allowed one of the inherited runners to score. Baker finished the game, getting the final two batters.
The Fisher Cats blasted two home runs with Nash Knight (2/4, HR, RBI, R) and Chad Spanberger (2/3, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, R, 2 E) each contributing a dinger. Brock Lundquist had a pair of hits including a double, scoring a run and Christian Williams was 1/4 with a single, an RBI and a run.

Dunedin Blue Jays 8, Charlotte Stone Crabs (TB) 7
The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays and the Charlotte Stone Crabs found their bats and broke out to score a combined 15 runs with the Blue Jays finishing on top, winning 8-7.
Chavez Young had a huge game for the Blue Jays, going 3/4 with a double, a home run, three RBI and three runs, stealing a base. Christopher Bec had two hits, scoring once and stealing two bases while Kevin Vicuna was 1/2 with a double, a walk, a run and a stolen base and he was hit by a pitch twice. Cal Stevenson was 1/4 with a walk, an RBI and a run while Norberto Obeso was 1/3 with a walk and two RBI. Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) was 1/4 with an RBI but struck out three times and Kacy Clemens was 1/4 with a run.
Turner Larkins allowed four runs on nine hits (including a home run), walking one and striking out four in five innings while Connor Law got the win, walking two and striking out three in two innings. Brad Wilson allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits with two strikeouts in the final two innings.

Roster Notes: Matt Shannon was placed on the 7-day IL and Graham Spraker was sent north to Buffalo. Jackson Rees was promoted from Lansing to Dunedin.
Lansing Lugnuts 7, Great Lakes Loons (LAD) 1
The low-A Lansing Lugnuts had 14 hits on their way to a 7-1 win over the Great Lakes Loons.
The Lugs got two hits from each of the first six hitters in the order with Reggie Pruitt going 2/5 with a run and Nick Podkul going 2/5 with a double, a triple, two RBI and a run. Griffin Conine gas 2/5 with an RBI and Ryan Gold was 2/5 with a triple and a run. Hagen Danner was also 2/5 with a triple, two RBI and a run and Gabriel Moreno was 2/4 with a home run, a walk, an RBI and two runs, adding a stolen base. Jesus Severino was 1/5 and Hunter Steinmetz was 1/4 with a run.
Troy Miller had probably his best start of the year, going five innings and giving up just one run on a solo home run among two hits with three walks and seven strikeouts. Will McAffer (North Vancouver, B.C.) allowed a hit and a walk in 2 1/3 innings, striking out three and Cre Finfrock went the final 1 2/3 innings, stranding a runner, giving up two hits and striking out three.

DSL Blue Jays 2, DSL Orioles1 10
The DSL Blue Jays had a rough game, getting just four hits and scoring twice in a 10-2 loss to the DSL Orioles1.
Francisco Faardo had two hits including a double, scoring once while Gabriel Martinez was 1/4 with a stolen base and Gary David was 1/3.
Wilgenis Alvardo went four solid innings, allowing a run on five hits with three strikeouts before turning it over to the bullpen. Jorman Gonzalez allowed four runs (three earned) on two hits and two walks with one strikeout in the fifth and Joneivy Polonia allowed another four runs in the sixth, giving up three hits and two walks. Andres Garcia allowed an unearned run on two hits and three walks with a strikeout in 1 2/3 innings and Juan Martinez finished it off, stranding the bases loaded, getting a ground ball out.
