The Blue Jays affiliates had an abysmal day on the third day of the MLB draft, getting shut out three times in six games and losing all six.

Buffalo Bisons 0, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (NYY) 3

In the first game of a doubleheader, the triple-A Buffalo Bisons mustered only three hits, losing 3-0 to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Reese McGuire (1/2), Jordan Patterson (1/2) and Roemon Fields (1/2, CS, OF Asst.) had a single each.

Shawn Morimando had a decent start, allowing three runs on eight hits with one walk and five strikeouts in six innings and Matt Dermody made his first strong outing, striking out two in the seventh.

Roster Notes: Jonathan Davis was optioned to Buffalo and Teoscar Hernandez was promoted to Toronto.

Buffalo Bisons 0, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (NYY) 4

In the Game 2 of the doubleheader, the Buffalo Bisons fared even worse, losing 4-0 and getting just one hit as a club.

Jordan Patterson (1/2) had the only hit for the Bisons in Game 2, giving him a 2/4 day.

Conor Fisk started for the Bisons, allowing two home runs among four hits for three runs with a walk and four strikeouts in three innings of work. Zach Jackson gave up a run on two hits in two innings while Corey Coping allowed a hit and a walk with a strikeout in the sixth and Jonathan Cheshire walked one in the seventh.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2, Bowie Baysox (BAL) 3

On a day with minimal offence by the Bisons, the double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats weren't much better off, scoring twice on seven hits in a 3-2 loss to the Bowie Baysox.

Vinny Capra was 2/4 with a home run, two RBI and a run while Joshua Palacios was 2/4. Chad Spanberger was 1/4 with a double and Nash Knight was 1/3 with a walk. Santiago Espinal was on base three times, going 1/2 with two walks but was picked off and caught stealing.

Yennsy Diaz had a strong outing, throwing seven innings and giving up a run on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts. Tayler Saucedo was charged with the loss, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits with a walk in the eighth. Danny Young gave up a hit and struck out two in the ninth.

Dunedin Blue Jays 0, Charlotte Stone Crabs (TB) 2

In another low-scoring game, the class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays fell 2-0 to the Charlotte Stone Crabs, getting only four hits in the nine-inning affair.

Norberto Obeso had two singles while Demi Orimoloye (Orleans, Ont.) was 1/4 and Logan Warmoth was 1/3 with a walk.

Joey Murray was strong on the mound, allowing just a run on six hits without walking anyone and striking out six over six innings. David Phelps, making a rehab appearance allowed a hit and struck out one in the seventh and Matt Shannon allowed a run on two hits with one strikeout in the eighth. Emerson Jimenez gave up two hits but no runs in the ninth, striking out one.

Roster Notes: David Phelps was assigned to Dunedin for rehab.

Lansing Lugnuts 5, Great Lakes Loons (LAD) 6

Despite scoring more runs than any other Blue Jays affiliate on Wednesday, the low-A Lansing Lugnuts couldn't hold their lead, falling to the Great Lakes Loons 6-5.

Griffin Conine continues to be red hot coming back from suspension, going 2/3 with a home run, a walk, an RBI and two runs, stealing a base. Nick Podkul also hit a home run, going 1/3 with a walk, a stolen base and the solo blast while Hagen Danner hit his seventh home run (his third in two games), going 1/4 with two RBI and a stolen base but also struck out three times as his batting average creeped up to .162. Jesus Severino had the club's only other hit, going 1/4 with a double, an RBI and a run.

Josh Hiatt started well but ran into trouble in the fourth inning, giving up four runs on four hits with two walks and one strikeout in 3 2/3 innings, leaving two runners on for Sean Rackoski, who retired the only batter he faced to finish the fourth. Troy Watson tossed another four innings, giving up two runs on three hits (including a home run) with one walk and five strikeouts.

DSL Blue Jays 4, DSL Padres 6

The DSL Blue Jays lost their second game to the DSL Padres, falling 6-4 in the back half of the home-and-home series.

Second baseman Adrian Montero led the club with two hits, going 2/4 with an RBI and a double while Vincent D'Orazio (1/4, 2B), Yeison Jimenez (1/3, RBI, 2B) and Francisco Fajardo (1/4) had a hit each. Gabriel Martinez was 1/4 with a triple and two runs.

Starter Soenni Martinez allowed three runs on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts in four innings and Jose Quintana followed with three unearned runs on two hits and a walk with one strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. Edgar Castro allowed three hits but no runs with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings but came on with the bases loaded and allowed two of the three runners to score. Raudy Sanchez allowed a walk and struck out one in the eighth.
