Lanciault: Cerantola enjoys strong second AFL outing

Right-hander Eric Cerantola made his second appearance with the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League on Wednesday.

Born in Montreal, the Great Lake Canadians and Junior National Team alum entered the game in the fifth inning and tossed three scoreless innings against the Glendale Desert Dogs, allowing just two hits.

Of Cerantola’s 33 pitches, 24 were strikes in the Saguaros’ 16-1 win.

The 23-year-old Kansas City Royals prospect also struck out four, giving him eight in six innings in the AFL so far this season. It also brings his total to 108 since the start of the 2023 campaign.
