Signed as an international free agent in 2007, Gonzalez would go on to spend 14 seasons in the Colorado Rockies organization, reaching triple-A.

Hailing from San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, Gonzalez set the Albuquerque Isotopes record with his 135th appearance in September of 2021, while winning the Isotopes’ Pitcher of the Year award in 2015.
