Palmegiani named to NJCAA All-America First-Team

HENDERSON, Nev. (June 14, 2021) - One of the great players in recent history to play for the College of Southern Nevada baseball team has earned NJCAA recognition.
CSN's Damiano Palmegiani earned NJCAA All-America First-Team recognition, thanks to a breakout season that also saw him be named Region 18 Player-of-the-Year in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. Palmegiani, a native of Surrey, B.C., transferred to CSN after beginning his collegiate career at Cal State Northridge.
Palmegiani had a team-high batting average of .389, posting team-highs in home runs (26) and RBI's (81). He also scored a team-high 80 runs and posted 79 hits on the season. A feared presence in the CSN lineup, Palmegiani also walked a team-high 36 times.
Individual successes during the season by Palmegiani included posting five hits in an April 8 game against Southern Nevada, and also hitting a pair of home runs against Western Nebraska in the NJCAA West Region tournament.
