BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Canada cruised by Honduras 10-0 in five innings in their last round robin game of the WBSC Americas Pan Am Qualifier.

An eight-run fourth inning and a strong pitching performance propelled Canada to the win.

Canada finished the round robin with a record of 3-1, tying Panama (3-1) and host Argentina (3-1) for first place. However, due to the tournament’s three-team tie-break system, known as “Team’s Quality Balance” or “TQB,” Canada will finish third and will not advance to tomorrow’s final game where a spot in the 2023 Pan Am Games baseball competition will be determined.

*The TQB is calculated this way: runs scored/innings played at bat-runs allowed/innings playing on defense.

BOX SCORE
