Baseball Alberta is deeply saddened by the passing of Phyllis Pannebaker, who left an indelible mark on our organization and the baseball community.

Phyllis passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family.

Phyllis served as the executive director of Baseball Alberta from 1987 to 1994, playing a pivotal role in the organization's growth and development. Her passion for the game and dedication to the sport's advancement led her to serve as president from 2001 to 2002, where she continued to leave a lasting impact.

Beyond her leadership roles, Phyllis was integral in the organization of international baseball championships through the Edmonton International Baseball Foundation (EIBF). Her efforts helped showcase Alberta's talent on a global stage and strengthened the province's connection to international baseball events.

A funeral service to honuor Phyllis’s life was held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 with burial to follow on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm in Clearwater, Man.

Donations in memory of Phyllis can be made to the Alberta & NWT Alzheimer’s Society in her honour.

Baseball Alberta extends our deepest sympathies to Phyllis’s family and friends. Her passion, leadership, and contributions to the sport will forever be remembered.
