Ruffle ready to ruffle feathers with Conquistadors

The Florida National Conquistadors fielded their first college ball team in 2017.
And in the fall of 2025, Brody Ruffle is headed to the Miami, Fla., NAIA campus.
The 6-foot-6, 180-pound RHP Ruffle (Saanichton, BC) is a Victoria Eagles grad. He impressed Florida National recruiters at LoanDepot Park pitching for the Canada Scout Team.
The Conquistadors had two Canucks on their roster last season: LHP Alexis Dubeau (Mascouche, Que.) and OF Jordan Lewis (Brampton, Ont.).
Lewis played at Herkimer Community College before transferring and in 2024 earned an Canadian Baseball Network All-Canadian college team honourable mention. Last year, he batted .376 with 11 doubles, three triples, eight homers and 46 RBIs with a 1.077 OPS.
Dubeau pitched at Southwest Virginia Community College and then went 0-5 with a 9.93 ERA in 22 games at Lake Region State. Last year with Florida National he was 3-2 with a 7.26 ERA in 31 games striking out 21 in 31 innings.
A total of 13 players were added to the 2025 Canadians in College page this week by our Pete Berryman, while five players committed and were added to the Letter of Intent page.
