A pair of Terriers will be putting their talents on display at Rogers Centre later this month.
Outfielder Ethan Mota-Dias (Georgetown, Ont.) and infielder Lincoln Rose (Bridgenorth, Ont.) have been selected to take part in the Canadian Futures Showcase from Sept. 17 to 21.
Mota-Dias is suiting up for Team Grey, while Rose is set to take the field for Team Navy.
For Mota-Dias, it’s his second time attending the tournament, having also been selected in 2023.
The event gets underway when players show off their tools for college recruiters and professional scouts during Scout Day on Sept. 17.
Games begin on Sept. 18 and run until Sept. 20.
The week wraps up on Sept. 21 with a home run derby and prospects game. Participants in the derby and game will be announced following Friday’s action.
Alumni of the showcase include Bo and Josh Naylor (Mississauga, Ont.) of the Cleveland Guardians, Chicago White Sox right-handed pitcher Michael Soroka (Calgary, Alta,), Minnesota Twins infielder Edouard Julien (Quebec, Que.) and Seattle Mariners right-hander Matt Brash (Kingston, Ont.).
