Greg O'Halloran joins Ontario Terriers

Greg O’Halloran has a very impressive resume and he will be bringing his many years of experience to the Ontario Terriers organization beginning this fall as a coach on the 16u staff.
 
‎In 1987 O’Halloran made his way to California  where he played his college ball at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. He was a power hitting catcher for coach Mike Mayne. 
 
After being drafted in 1988 O’Halloran worked his way through the minor leagues eventually reaching the majors with the Miami Marlins in 1994. In all, he spent nine years in professional baseball playing with class-A St. Catharines, class-A Dunedin, double-A Knoxville and triple-A Syracuse in the Blue Jays system.

From there he headed to the Florida Marlins organization in 1994 with double-A Portland and spending 12 games with the Marlins. He also spent time with the Chicago Cubs’ triple-A Iowa, as well as Duluth-Superior in the independent league and Quintana Roo in Mexico.
 
O’Halloran has also donned the Team Canada jersey on several occasions. He played in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and was on the coaching staff of the first two World Baseball Classics.
