Baseball Canada’s Junior National Team is set to kick off its 2025 campaign with the annual Extended Spring Training Camp, running from April 16 to April 24 in Dunedin, Fla.

This annual event serves as a crucial development opportunities for the country’s top amateur talent as they prepare to represent Canada on the international stage.

The Junior National Team will call the Toronto Blue Jays’ Player Development Complex home for the duration of the camp, benefitting from world-class facilities while training alongside some of the best Canadian prospects in the game. The camp will feature daily workouts, elite instruction, and a challenging slate of competition designed to test and refine the skills of Canada’s next generation of stars.

The Canadians will play six games against professional Major League Baseball organizations, including the Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and New York Yankees. The camp will also feature two exhibition games against the Fort Lauderdale Stars.

The two newcomers are North Shore Twins RHP Daniel Dykema (North Vancouver, BC) and Toronto Mets RHP Noah Powell (Toronto, Ont.).

The camp will also see the Junior National Team travel to the Spring Training homes of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, and New York Yankees to face their prospects squads. These stops will expose athletes to a variety of professional-level training and learning environments.

A total of 28 athletes have earned selection to the Junior National Team roster for this prestigious camp. These players represent the future of Canadian baseball, showcasing top-tier talent from across the country.

Head Coach Greg Hamilton leads the coaching staff that includes former National Team players Shane Dawson, Pierre-Luc Laforest, Pete Orr, Chris Reitsma, Adam Stern, and Rene Tosoni.
